Angela Lyos Braun

Her interest and passion in poetry has its roots in her early career as a teacher of literature, poetry and drama, igniting the spark of creative projects and critical thinking in young minds. This laid the foundation for her ongoing exploration of the transformative power of poetry and individual and collective story-telling and expression.
As the founder of Poems Unbound she believes in the profound potential of poetry to uplift, heal, give hope and foster connection. She believes in the healing power of poetry to enliven, uplift and expand our awareness and our thinking to an elevated state. Poems Unbound seeks to add to the existing positive force of nature and invite adults and children to discover a poem in a public park and be supported to, pause, reflect and connect with words that both resonate for them or make them see a slice of the world in a way they may not have viewed it before.
By putting poems out in the community we are also creating community - creating a collective celebration of life.
